A SURF'S UP STORE PARTY - COCOCOZY FOR TOMMY HILFIGER - PART 3!

Last night three brands came together - Tommy Hilfiger, Kelly Cole and COCOCOZY - to introduce Tommy Hilfiger's Surf Shack collection at a sparkling cocktail party at the Tommy Hilfiger store on Robertson Blvd in Los Angeles.

Oh what a night it was!  So many wonderful people (all my wonderful friends), lots of champagne (I drank water all night though because I had so many people to chat with), great music, and a fantastic setting.  I only took about 10 pictures at the beginning of the party and then got caught up in the whirlwind of it all...I spent the entire evening toting around my camera though...threatening to take a photo but I never did!  These photos were taken at about 7pm...just before the party started.

Anyhooo...let me start by saying a huge thank you once again to Amie Robinson, Director of Research and Development for Tommy Hilfiger. Amie is the one who spearheaded the COCOCOZY partnership with the uber fashion brand. She is amazing...a dear good friend. Amie was so kind and sweet to introduced me a few years back to the whole Tommy team. Then I have to say another huge thank you to Jann Parish, VP of Marketing at Tommy Hilfiger. Jann was the architect of our fun partnership with Tommy Hilfiger...which included COCOCOZY making pillows for the Surf Shack capsule collection of laid back summer beachwear. Lastly, my design crush or crush crush, Trent Wisehart, Creative Director North America and EVP of Global Creative Services for Tommy who said "yes" to the whole idea of partnering! Also thanks to Amy Robb and Ben Wymer from Tommy who were so nice to me over the last few months!  And it was so nice seeing Grace and meeting John (who is a designer at Tommy)!

I have to say a quick huge thank you to my sis DS for showing up and all of my fantastic friends (JF, AG, BN, SN, JD, AB, TH, JH, PS, MN, JF, MF and so many more).  Also thank you to the adorable COCOCOZY VP of Operations, CM and cute adorable COCOCOZY assistant NG for coming too.  Lots of new friends came too like Karen, Sagi, Kendal, Mika, Courtney, Roger and Michael!  So great to see everyone!

This weekend I am going to head over the Surf Shack mobile pop up shop in Venice Beach on Abbot Kinney to see our COCOCOZY pillows on display and I want to get this cute dress I am coveting from the collection!

COCOCOZY FOR TOMMY HILFIGER - SURF SHACK VENICE BEACH - PART 2

Tommy Hilfiger's Surf Shack pop up shop is coming to Venice Beach this weekend...and COCOCOZY for Tommy Hilfiger home accessories will be inside!  Woohooo!  Can't wait!

So, a few weeks back, I announced the big news that COCOCOZY has partnered with Tommy Hilfiger on a limited edition line of pillows.  This collaboration is part of the launch of Tommy's super cute laid back beachwear collection called Surf Shack!

This collection of cute summer clothing has a surf's up vibe with a distinctly preppy twist!  I spent an hour in the Tommy Hilfiger store in L.A. trying on clothes from the collection and ended up buying an adorable white pique blazer, a mint green linen top and a scarf. Must go back for more!

COCOCOZY FOR TOMMY HILFIGER - SURF SHACK PART 1

COCOCOZY for Tommy Hilfiger is in stores!  Woohooo!

Am thrilled, thrilled, thrilled to announce today a partnership I've been working on since the fall.  COCOCOZY and Tommy Hilfiger!

This summer two special edition COCOCOZY pillows will be in Tommy Hilfiger stores around the world and online as part of Tommy Hilfiger's Surf Shack capsule collection - a really cute array of summer clothing for men and women!

You might ask..."Coco...how did this all come about?"  Unlike most (smart) people who keep everything close to the vest...I, of course, will share details.

Sooooooo....was approached by the very stylish Amie Robinson, Director of Research and Development for Tommy Hilfiger, last summer about possibly working with their brand on a small collection of pillows.  I chatted with Amie and her super cool boss Trent Wisehart, Creative Director North America and EVP of Global Creative Services for Tommy (have a secret professional design crush on Trent...now not a secret I guess...hmmmm...) for a bit about what we might do together.  Then fab Tommy Hilfiger VP of Marketing Jann Parrish was brought in to finalize plans.  Before I knew it, by December 2012 we were in business!

More details in later posts on how we made 500 pillows in a few months and got them off to the Tommy team!  (Hats off to COCOCOZY VP of Operations CM for coordinating getting all of the pillows out of the door)

So today, Tommy Hilfiger has launched its Surf Shack collection - a capsule collection of bright cool surf inspired clothing...and two COCOCOZY pillows are in the mix.  We color coordinated our pillows with their collection.

Yesterday, I went into the West Hollywood Tommy Hilfiger store and took a million and half pictures. Courtney the store manager was so nice and I even ended up buying a cute Surf Shack white jacket and sparkle mint green t-shirt from sales associate Tiffany.

A true thrill to see our pillows in store!

FASHION FORWARD: TOMMY HILFIGER FALL RTW 2012!

So my very good friend Amie Robinson (aka A.Ro.) works for Tommy Hilfiger. A.Ro. is amazingly fashionable and has a great sense of style - she always has just the right outfit on with absolute the right accessories and touches. Last time I saw her she was wearing a vintage window pane check leather mini skirt, navy suede booties, a cap sleeve top and a cute clutch purse. She looked darling. A.Ro. is definitely my most stylish friend...I can say that without a doubt...she knows how to mix vintage pieces with new finds so well. She once told me she treats every day like a new day when it comes to fashion and she loves wearing totally new looks every day.

Recently A.Ro. was in Los Angeles with her whole Tommy Hilfiger group ( we hung out with her boss Trent Wisehart who is super cool and way too stylish himself and we also hung out with her other boss Justin Cox who has a great eye for design...Justin had just styled a very posh event at the Sunset Marquis hotel). The whole Tommy group is so much fun. We went out until late night on a week night. The next day I could barely crawl out of bed and make it to my real job.

Anyhooooo...because of A.Ro.,  I have totally been turned onto all things Tommy. This year's Tommy Hilfiger Fall 2012 collection is right up my alley. I love it. Preppy, classic, sharp, modern, tailored.  Love this collection.  I love the colors, mustard yellows, rusts, oxblood (one of A.Ro.'s coworkers pointed out that oxblood is really just maroon or burgundy but this year everyone is calling it oxblood!), muted purples with gray. I would wear almost every piece.

So today I bring you FASHION FORWARD - the Tommy Hilfiger fall collection as inspiration for all things home decor!

I think my favorite from the runway is that patent leather pea coat. Whoa. Love it. Hello. My favorite room is the one with the dining room with the yellow cushions on the fantastic Casamidy chairs.

P.S. FASHIONABLE PRATFALL - So I was standing up from my desk in my office yesterday, heading out to go find a binder at my assistant's cubicle.  I stood up slowly but before I knew it, I felt my feet get all knotted up and tangled, and then loudly I tripped and fell into a huge heap on the floor. There I was, legs up in the air, body strewn almost face down on the floor in my corporate office (wearing some cute Rag & Bone black pants, a purple Isabel Marant blouse and my super high Christian Louboutin patent leather boots I might add). Not injured in the least but definitely not what I would call a chic or elegant move at all...in fact just the opposite. Oy vey. There was a new intern sitting in a cubicle outside my office (it was his first day)...he saw the whole pratfall and seemed appalled. Once I gathered myself up I looked to find out why I had tripped. I tend to bring multiple purses to work...turns out I had tripped over a YSL and Chanel purse combo. Fashion can have its perils too I guess! LOL!!!

P.P.S. SHIPPING DAY - We have lots of big shipments going out at COCOCOZY HQ in Beverly Hills. Lots of COCOCOZY pillows and throws going out to customers around the country and now in the Bahamas too! So excited to that our collection is slowly but surely finding its way into stores across the country and world! CM who is just amazing and manages operations over at COCOCOZY HQ while I am at my real job, sent me this photo below of all of the boxes that have been packed up for shipping!

P.P.P.S. Last night had a great time out with TE - drinks at Chateau Marmont, then dinner at Laurel Hardware. Best of friend AM's husband JE was in town for a day and had a bit of time in the evening before flying out...so TE and I met JE for a drink at Chateau Marmont. Was a fantastic evening.
