Look 1 - COCOCOZY reversible bedding in navy. Loop pattern on top (above)

COCOCOZY Linens for Downtown are here.  My new collection of reversible bedding is going to market next week!

So I mentioned I would be in High Point, NC next weekend for the furniture market.  I am actually going there to debut two new full collections!

I've talked about the COCOCOZY for Capel Rugs collection quite a bit...I showed 5 rugs in New York in January but this time around in North Carolina we are showing the full collection of 24 rugs...woohoooo!

I haven't spoken much about my new bedding collection but today that is changing!  Am so thrilled today to finally have some images of the bedding to show you!  The very nice DM over at Downtown is having all of the bedding shot today and she just sent me these photos!

COCOCOZY Linens are 100% imported cotton, super soft 400 thread count ...the line features booth printed and embroidered pieces on three different color stories (navy, taupe, gray).

Here's the cool part...you can totally mix and match your duvet cover sides...the fronts and back duvet sides are sold separately allowing you to customize your bedroom look.  We even have a U.S. Patent Pending on this Convertible Bedding!

The navy collection also includes a COCOCOZY Plaid duvet side that you can buy to mix and match your look.

To play along with all of the different patterns and duvet cover side options...build your own bed...check out Downtown's site.

All bedding will be available at the COCOCOZY shop site later in May.  If you have questions, you always email sales@cococozy.com.

Happy Friday!

What do you think?  Would you take it or leave it if it was offered to you as a gift?  I would take it!  Hello! Make some tweaks to the oh so neutral staged decor and live happily ever after (or at least live happily until someone offered me a chateau in France or an equally spectacular apartment in Paris)

Happy Monday!

PASTEL PIGS IN CHROME!

Bank in form of pig Harry Allen light pink pale chrome piggy bank metallic
Pale Pink Bank in the form of Pig - $200 (Light pink piggy bank with chrome metallic finish) (above)

I have one of these cute metallic piggy banks in silver chrome.  I've had it for years - maybe 7 years or so.  It has moved from my home over to my office....and when I move back into my tiny cottage in the Hollywood Hills, it may even come home with me.   Even though this little piggy bank style has been around for years, people still oooh and ahhhh over it.  Adds a bit of cute style to any room I think.

One of my colleagues had her little 4 year old son over into my office a few months back...he was playing with my silver pig when all of a sudden the ear broke off!  No worries though...it was easily repaired with a little super glue...the four year old was so happy to see that the pig was indeed fine.

The pig was even up to no good once at my house...as you can see in these videos - Part 1 and then Part 2! But generally the pig has been all good over the years. (you can see my old wood floors in the video by the way)

So when I saw these pastel pigs at market, I of course bought a bunch of them for the COCOCOZY shop.

I think these pastel piggies are just so cute.  Don't you?

MONOGRAM STYLE - LARGE LIVING ROOM LETTERS!

Why not add a signature of sorts to a well designed space.  I'm wary of using too many words or letters in any design...but maybe a carefully placed letter here or there can personalize a good looking space even more.  Can a letter be art?  See the photo above...a cute black and white living room with a framed huge block letter "C".  I like.

What do you think?  Agree or disagree?

Anyhooooo...I like these metal letters below...I think the big huge zinc ones could be cool...maybe in a den...maybe a big C in my den.

BEVERLY HILLS TUDOR HOME REVIVED!

Front exterior of a Beverly Hills Tudor style home by Betsy Burnham

A Beverly Hills Tudor style home made bright and cheerful by Los Angeles based interior designer Betsy Burnham.

Tudor homes sometimes have a darker more heavy feel to the decor - full of tradition and wood paneling I think.   Not this home.  With walls painted a bright white and an eclectic introduction of textiles, upholstery and wallpaper in muted tones of grays, blues, corals and lavenders, this home feels nothing like your run of the mill tudor!

Living room in Tudor style home with gray sofas with purple accent pillows, statuette lamps and a piano
The gray upholstered furniture in the living room gets a bit of color with wonderful purple cushions.  Also love the statuette lamps on the console. (above)

The t.v. room features a large built in cabinet with beadboard door fronts, coral sofas upholstered in a Chinoiserie Palm Beach like fabric and a square tufted leather ottoman. (above)

Love the master bedroom wallpaper - Katie Ridder's Leaf wallpaper pattern available at Harbinger in Los Angeles. Stunning! (above)

What I like about this house is that it seems comfortable, livable and well designed.  Not too over the top in the decor but just enough to show a bit of personality and style.  Like.  Like a lot.

Happy Wednesday!

P.S. Picked up my dog Mr. Boo yesterday (see previous post) from the surgery hospital and took him over to the vet who will nurse him back to health over the next two weeks.  He looked so sad and tired after his surgery! Poor guy.

P.P.S.  Headed to the theater tonight to see a play.  So excited.

P.P.P.S.  Must also make it up to my little cottage in the Hollywood Hills today to see how construction is progressing and to talk about the floors.  My mom and my sis DS are worried that I am not moving things along quick enough...so today...we're going to get the project moving!!!

P.P.P.P.S.  Have a great day!

P.P.P.P.P.S.  Thank you to fab designer Joe Lucas owner of Harbinger showroom for the tip on the master bedroom wallpaper source.

INTRODUCING COCOCOZY for CAPEL RUGS - SAMPLE PREVIEW!

COCOCOZY wool rug
COCOCOZY for Capel Rugs - Oxford Rug in Navy (Tibetan hand knotted wool rug) (above)

So...over the last 6 months, I've been alluding to and mentioning partnerships that I've been working on for COCOCOZY.

Today I am thrilled to announce a collaboration and a new COCOCOZY collection that we are bringing to market.

COCOCOZY for Capel Rugs! COCOCOZY rugs are going to market in 2013!  I'm still pinching myself.

These are pictures of the samples of COCOCOZY hand knotted wool Tibetan rugs that will be in stores this year!  We just got these 5'x8' samples in a few weeks ago and now I will be showing them at the New York International Gift Fair in less than two weeks! The rugs will come in other sizes and colors too.

Established in North Carolina in 1917, Capel Rugs is the oldest privately owned rug manufacturer and importer in the United States. Capel is known for their traditional classic braided rugs that are made at their mill in North Carolina.

Most recenlty, Capel has  some fantastic rug collaborations including their latest with television personality and designer Genevieve Gorder. They also do a fabulous line with textile designer Kevin O'Brien.

Here's the short version of the story on how this all started...

Over a year ago, a very smart and sharp Tami Watras, the Vice President and Creative Director of Capel Rugs approached me and COCOCOZY to talk about rugs. Tami sent me a nice email saying she would like to meet.

A few weeks later in July 2011, Tami came by the Atlanta market with Capel Rugs president John Magee and Vice President John Harrison to view my pillow collection. I remember meeting them and thinking, "Wow they look so official, they seem really nice and this is serious stuff!". I was right on all fronts.

It was after that meeting, the rug games began.

As my fab agent SM (I think I mentioned I have Hollywood type agent...or did I?) was negotiaing  the deal, my dear and sweet angel best of friend AM met me for a day trip to North Carolina where we rented a big SUV and drove to the Capel headquarters in Troy.  We were going to Capel to see if this was a deal I wanted to do for COCOCOZY.

While in Troy, we also got to meet the fantastic Cameron Capel, Vice President at Capel and whose grandfather founded the company.  During that sit down with the Capel team, there was instant chemistry...we had a shared vision as to what the rug collection could look like and more importantly we all had such a great time getting to know each other.   On the drive back to the airport, AM who had her nose stuck in the Capel catalog (shopping of course), simply said "You should do this deal.  They are great.  Do it."  That is where it all began.

So a year and half later, after several meetings, swatches, samples and designs going back and forth, here are a few of the designs and colorways in the first COCOCOZY rug collection!

Take a look...please let me know which you like best.

So...now I have to decide which of these rugs I'll show in the COCOCOZY booth in NYC in two weeks. Again...I need your help. So many decisions. So little time until New York market!

Would love to hear your thoughts on these rugs. Please. Be honest...what do you like, what don't you like and which do you think I should show?

Happy Monday!

P.P.S. Yesterday was my birthday. TE was very nice to whisk me away to San Francisco for a birthday fun weekend there. Will tell you a little more about that tomorrow and share some funny pictures from our day on Saturday at the San Francisco 49ers game. Yes...don't gasp...I did go to a 49ers game. I know!
