JUST UNDER $10 MILLION DOLLARS IN NYC - SEE THIS HOUSE

I like browsing through multi million dollar real estate listings.  Don't know why.  Is that strange?  Don't answer please...that was a rhetorical question. :-)

Anyhooo...today a New York City find.   I bring you this Upper East Side 4 bedrooms and 4 bath home in a 1926 built pre-war coop building.

Listed for $9.5 million by Kleier Residential.this home is right in the heart of the upper east at 911 Park Avenue between 79th and 80th.

10 rooms in total with southern exposures, a living room with a French limestone carved fireplace mantel, maids quarters, kitchen with a clear Traulsen refrigerator and 6 burner Viking stove and so much more.

I wonder if I had 10 million whether I would choose this apartment...?  Might try for a bigger home on the West Coast...or an apartment in Soho near best of friend AM...don't know.  Thinking.

I do like the custom built ins in the library and kids room.  What do you think?  Take or leave this apartment for $10 million?

Happy Friday!

$70 MILLION NEW YORK CITY APARTMENT AT THE PIERRE - SEE THIS HOUSE

Den in a New York City apartment

$70 million dollars for one NYC apartment! Wow. According to United Nations statistics...there are at least 128 countries worldwide whose Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is $70 million or less. An apartment that it is valued to all of the goods and services produced by several world nations! That is New York city housing for you.

Today I bring you a striking $70 million dollar apartment located right on Fifth Avenue atop the lush Pierre Hotel in New York City. The two story apartment is listed by Serena Boardman of Sotheby's International Realty.  The 16 room apartment was recently renovated by super glam architect Peter Marino with custom design details, state-of-the-art lighting and tech systems.  The building amenities include a concierge, housekeeping and much more.  Must be nice to live on top of the Pierre Hotel.

What do you think? Would you pay $70 million for this if money were no object? Since money is an object in my life, I would not pay for it...but if someone wanted to gift me this gem, I would happily accept!

Happy Monday!

P.S. Went to the Griffith Park Observatory not once but twice this weekend with TE! After a run, brunch, and a drive around Silver Lake, we wandered up to the top of Griffith Park on Saturday to see the view and walk through the exhibits. We enjoyed it so much that on Sunday, after brunch at the Soho House, we brought TE's son and his friend up to the observatory too. A must see in Los Angeles. Learn about the moon, the stars, plus amazing Los Angeles views. Made my days!

SPIKE LEE'S $32 MILLION DOLLAR ESTATE - SEE THIS HOUSE

Hallway in a NYC home with french doors, white washed wood floors and Persian rugs

Here is a peek inside the New York City Upper East Side home reported to be owned by filmmaker/director Spike Lee that is currently on the market for $32 million dollars.

The home located at 153 E. 63rd and it is known as the Hatch House...constructed from stables back in the early 1900s.  The home was gifted to the first owners by the Vanderbilt family and famed burlesque dancer Gypsy Lee Rose is said to have owned it for 3 decades.  Spike Lee bought it in the 1990's for $16 million and is now selling it for twice as much.

The 8200+ square foot home is made up of two buildings surrounding a courtyard.  It features 5 bedrooms, 8 baths, staff quarters and a gym.

This property is listed by Sotheby's Serena Boardman.

It has been reported that the home was owned by famed modern artist Jasper Johns too!  Lots of famous names it seems have lived under this roof.

What do you think?  Would you take it or leave it?  I like the house.  Love the arched windows and the long walkways connecting the two buildings.  I also love the idea of having my own private courtyard right in the middle of New York City.  I'd take it!

Happy Wednesday!

$46 MILLION GARDEN TOWNHOUSE IN NYC - SEE THIS HOUSE

Entry with glossy black gates and front door
Multi million dollar entry with glossy black gates and front door. (above)

$46 million dollars for 8 bedrooms, 13 baths in 11,100 square feet right in the center of New York City! This city townhouse was built by banking heir Paul Mellon and wife Bunny Mellon in 1965. 125 E. 70th...a Neoclassic French style home comes complete with a wonderful outdoor space for gardens (Bunny was friends with Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and at one point designed the White House Rose Garden)

The home is listed by Sotheby's.

I love the enfilade on the ground floor (grouping of rooms connected together)...the idea of this kind of flow was typical in royal homes in Europe.  Also love the geometric painted floors in the halls and living room - adds visual interest.  Finally, the outdoor space...the gardens...perfection!

I would take this house in a minute if someone offered it to me.  I would modern up the decor a little and then live happily ever after!

P.S. Had a great time at TE's company holiday party. It was on the roof of the London Hotel. Gorgeous views and everyone was so nice including TE.

P.P.S. Best of friend AT was in town from London this weekend. Saw a lot of her. Was so much fun...she is just darling. Had breakfast with her and TE on Saturday that was just fun. $48 MILLION DOLLAR PARK VIEW PENTHOUSE - SEE THIS HOUSE

Living room in a New York penthouse with coffered ceiling, wood floor and a view of Central Park

$48 million dollars for 5 bedrooms, 6 baths, and 5600 square feet in the center of New York City with spectacular Central Park views. Did I mention the 2500 square feet of outdoor space too!?! This penthouse is being sold by billionaire and one of Forbes richest people in the world Jon Stryker through realtor Brown Harris Stevens.  Stryker apparently bought the apartment awhile back for almost $13 million.  After some renovations and tweaks by renowned architects Shelton Mindel & Associates, Stryker has now put it on the market for $48 million.

I like this space.  The coffered ceilings, the detailed paneling, the large windows with spectacular city and park views.  I would need to make room in my budget to redecorate but if I had, I would consider spending my millions (dream millions) on this apartment!

$75 MILLION DOLLAR NYC PENTHOUSE - SEE THIS HOUSE

Living room in a NYC penthouse with a view of the city

6 bedrooms, 6 full baths, 2 partial baths in 8,274 square feet of interior space with spectacular Central Park views, this New York City penthouse is listed for a mere $75 million dollars by Sotheby's International Real Estate.

This multi million dollar real estate listing was recently gutted, renovated and redesigned by prestigious NYC interior designer Tony Ingrao.  It takes up the entire top floor of the Time Warner Center Building right in the heart of Manhattan.  High ceilings, media room, laundry center, informal dining room and a smart house system that controls lighting, heating, entertainment systems and window coverings.  This manse in the sky seems to have it all.

Now the question is...if I had $75 million to spare...would I buy this?  Let me think....

So would you take it or leave it?

I think I would take it if given to me. I may want to spend the $75 million on a few properties if I had to pay for it myself. Thinking though...who knows.

Happy Tuesday!

AN ARTFULLY DESIGNED NEW YORK CITY TOWNHOUSE

Living room New York City Townhouse with 1965 Frank Stella canvas over the fireplace mantel, herringbone wood floors, a stainless steel round Mattia Bonnetti coffee table, and two black leather Hans Wegner Ox Chairs

Am absolutely in love with this 6 story New York City townhouse.  It is in the July issue of Architectural Digest.

A luxury home filled with modern art and fantastic furniture and all of the right touches.  Bright, cheerful, serious and modern.  I like.

The double high ceilings in the family room with a beautiful Moroccan rug, a 1965 Frank Stella canvas over the fireplace mantel, herringbone wood floors, a stainless steel round Mattia Bonnetti coffee table, and two black leather Hans Wegner Ox Chairs (which were bought at auction but can be bought new for about $14,000 each)...all meld together to create a rich visually interesting space.

Fine attention to detail was clearly put into every room...but the details are modern, fresh and light.

P.S. Problem, my guy TE is away in China for business and I've found myself at home alone these last two nights.  I have a ton of COCOCOZY work to do but instead I've been transfixed by the good old fashion television.  Been watching none other than The Real Housewives and The Kardashians.  Here's what I "learned"...Kim was worried that Rob was eating too much and then Kanye called to find out how she was doing but then Bruce went to make amends with Brody and wanted to buy a gun but Kris said no then Khloe came in and hired a private investigator to investigate her late father's wife and then Kris said "press charges"...it is all blur...I lost at least a million brain cells watching the Kardashians alone. Then I went onto Real Housewives of New Jersey AND the brain cell killer of them all...Real Housewives of Orange County.  Help me please.  Help.   TE come home from China and save me from this.  Mom, sis DS...you could step in here too and intervene.  And where is best of friend AM when I need her.  Someone take me to a play, the museum, the opera, a library, a park, out to dinner...anywhere.  Save me from reality t.v.  Help.

P.P.S  #firstworldproblem

P.P.P.S.  Making plans for an Atlanta trade show in July.  Some exciting news to reveal soon about a new line of COCOCOZY that is debuting there.  We have another new license partner.  Can't wait to show you what we have launching this summer!
